The reorganized central administration core of the Community Action Council of South Texas (CACST) is comprised of seasoned individuals who have answered the call of community service and committed themselves to the mission of this organization.

Executive Director
Juan M. Cantu, a Texas A&I University graduate, has been affiliated with the CACST for thirty-five years. First hired as a Planner for the agency in 1974, Mr. Cantu also served as the Director of Health Services and Director of Operations before being named Interim Executive Director in April 2007. The Board of Directors named Mr. Cantu Executive Director in December 2007.

Administrative Assistant
Thelma A. Garcia a graduate of South Texas Community College, has been a CACST employee for over 25 years having worked with the agency's Child Development Program at the Center and Program Administration level and later as CACST's Human Resources Director.

Planner-Trainer/Marketing/Fundraising Specialist
Toni H. Botello has been a CACST employee for 10 years but has over 40 years of community action agency experience. Botello possesses certificates in Substance Abuse Program Management, Gerontology Services (Del Mar College), federal poverty programs administration (University of Houston Center for Human Resources) as well as multiple program-related training completions related to federal and state grants management.

Fiscal Manager
David Flores, a Texas A&I University graduate, has been a CACST employee for almost 20 years. He was previously employed with a non-profit organization in Sinton, Texas

Risk/Fleet/Facilities Manager
Jaime Garza, a tenured CACST employee of thirty-seven years has been affiliated with the agency's migrant/community health programs as a patient educator/environmental health specialist; CACST housing director, and safety awareness trainer. Garza is now the agency's risk manager and is responsible for vehicle fleet and facilities maintenance.

Bookkeepers
Elia Cruz & Connie A. Guerra have a combined work history with the organization of over sixty-five years. Initially hired as program specific (health services and manpower training) support staff, personal growth has enhanced their experience and knowledge, affording the CACST valuable "home-grown" expertise.
