Members
of the thirteen-member CACST Board of Directors must live in the geographic region
that they represent and be at least 18 years of age. These service area residents
serve on a voluntary basis and are selected through a nominations and election
process. Board
members serve for an initial five-year term and can serve for an additional five
years.
To serve on the board, individuals must submit a "letter of interest" to the Membership
and Nominations Committee when a vacancy is announced.
The CACST Board involves the poor, political subdivisions, and other interested
agencies in the counties served by the Corporation in developing and carrying
out anti-poverty, health, and other social service programs.
The CACST Board of Directors prides itself in being a "true advocate for those
in need".
