Where is CACST's main office located?
- Each county (Duval, Jim Hogg, Starr, and Zapata) has a main office. Their addresses are listed on the Contacts page along with phone numbers.
(For instance, the central administration building for CACST is located at 510 E. Eisenhower in Rio Grande City, TX. The phone number there is (956)487-2585. If you are familiar with town, the building is right next door to the United States Post Office.)
How can I apply to work for CACST, and what jobs are available?
- Call or visit your local CACST office to apply for open positions. Also, please visit the Employment page for more information including phone numbers and locations. Job descriptions are posted as they become available.
Who qualifies for CACST's services?
- CACST is a Community Action Agency which caters to low-income families. Applicants are considered based on various guidelines pertaining to annual income, disabilites or disadvantages, family crisis, and migrant status. For more specific information, please call or visit your local CACST centers to start an application. Addresses and phone numbers are listed at the bottom of each program's page.
What are CACST's hours of operation?
- Most offices are open during regular business hours of 8am-5pm, Monday through Friday. Exceptions to this standard are the 24-hour clinic in Zapata, certain Adult Day Care Centers and certain Head Start Centers, which have extended hours for working parents. Also, the Meals on Wheels program offers meal delivery for weekends and holidays, effectively every day of the year.
