Providing
safe, decent, affordable housing for clients has been a long-time goal of the
CACST. With the establishment of the HOME Program (HOME Investment Partnership),
the CACST successfully built 20 four-bedroom homes for low and moderate income
large and/or multi-generational families. The four bedroom homes are located in
Starr, Zapata, Jim Hogg and Duval Counties. The homes are eligible for subsidies
provided that the families qualify for the Section 8 programs. Below is a listing
of the addresses where the homes are located. Renters may apply by contacting
the Central Administration number, 956-487 2585, or the local number listed below. In
Donna, Texas, the CACST operates a four unit complex, each consisting of 2-bedrooms..
The apartments are available at moderate rental rates and are also qualified for
the Section 8 subsidy ( provided the client is eligible). CACST's
history in the provision of housing for constituents is a true testament to the
